- Blackout restriction waivers are available at 50% of the
normal award mileage to permit travel during
black out periods. Diamond & Platinum members are exempt
from waiver surcharges, including free tickets
transferred by Diamond & Platinum members
to others when travelling on the same itinerary as the member.
- The above blackout dates apply to the date of depature.
- An additional 50% mileage will be charged on any Itinerary
that in cludes a Segment via Korea as long
as any segment in the itinerary includes a date of departure
during the blackout dates.
Example: For a Los Angeles- Seoul-Manila
one-way itinerary, If travel for any one of the 3 segments
falls within the blackout dates, an additional 50% milleage
will be charged on the whole itinerary.

When you board on the above dates using bonus
mileage, an additional charge of 50% of the normal award mileage
will be deducted, effective from 15 February 2006. However,
when boarding on the following dates, you will be charged an
additional 50% of the normal award mileage on tickets issued
even before the 15 February 2006.

One Way redemptions are permitted at 50%
of the roundtrip pricing.

Award travel must be booked in the following
restricted inventories. Failure to book in these classes could
subject the traveler to denied boarding at the airport.

All Asiana Club award tickets must be issued
by an Asiana Airlines City Ticket Office, Asiana Club Service
Center or Asiana Airlines Airport Ticket Office.

Infants under the age of 2 will be charged
10% of the applicable adult rate for award tickets and 10% of
the adjusted Discounted Fare rate for upgrades. Infants are
not entitled to a seat and must travel in the lap of an adult.

Children over the age of 2 will be charged
100% of the applicable adult award.

Award or upgrade travel in First Class by
any child under the age of 7, including the accompanying adult,
is strictly prohibited
-
Unused Tickets : Mileage
refund credit for unused portions of Award Tickets may be obtained
by returning the unused ticket to an Asiana Airlines Ticket
Office. Tickets returned within 12 months of issuance will be
eligible for a full refund. Tickets refunded more than 12 months
after the date of issuance will be eligible for a full refund
with payment of a 10,000 mile or USD$100 service charge.

Award Transfers : Asiana
Club Gold and Silver members may transfer their Award Tickets
at the time of issuance to a designated family member, including
spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, brothers, sisters,
sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grand parents and grand children.
Asiana Club Platinum and Diamond members may transfer Award
Tickets to anyone at time of issuance by completing an award
transfer certificate and presenting it to the Asiana Airlines
ticket office. Once transferred, Award Tickets may only be used
by the designated transferee and may not be transferred again.

All segments of an award itinerary must be
confirmed prior to ticketing. Airport wait listing of award
itineraries is not permitted.

Multiple Award Tickets:
Multiple award tickets requested and issued for the same itinerary
will receive a 10% discount from the award chart pricing (recipient
names must be different, reserved under the same record and
traveling under the same itinerary and class). Any change of
class, itinerary, seasonality, partial use or refund of either
ticket will result in the forfeiture of your 10% multiple award
discount and the assessment of additional mileage. Infant awards
are not eligible for this benefit

Asiana Club award tickets are valid for 12
months from the date of ticket issuance. Travel must be completed
within 12 months from the date of ticket issuance. Award ticket
validity may not be extended.

One free stopover per each one way itinerary
is allowed.
-
Award Ticket Changes Once tickets have been
issued, itinerary changes are permitted without charge at anytime
within the ticket’s validity date as long as there is
no change in routing, seasonality or class of service. Name
changes are not permitted.

Passengers traveling on International Award
Tickets may only fly on Asiana operated routes, with the following
exceptions :

Award tickets have no cash refund value and
will be considered void if sold, bartered or assigned to unauthorized
parties. Award tickets may be used only by the recipient(s)
named on the award.

Passengers traveling on International Award
Tickets or upgrades will not be allowed to pay the fare difference
to upgrade to a higher class of service.
-
Asiana Club awards may not be used in conjunction
with other certificates, coupons, discounts or promotional offers
unless otherwise stipulated in the rules of the program or offer.
-
Accrued mileage in a member’s account
is non- transferable upon the member’s death.
-
Passengers traveling on award tickets are
entitled to denied boarding compensation.
-
Any applicable departure taxes, inspection
fees or government taxes are the responsibility of the member
and shall be paid at time of ticketing.
-
Asiana Airlines is not liable for any tax
liabilities, personal income tax or other, resulting from the
member’s accumulation or use of Asiana Club miles.
-
Travel restrictions to certain destinations
and additional blackout dates may apply. Seats available for
award travel are inventory controlled and limited. Such restrictions
are subject to change and may be announced by Asiana at any
time without prior notice.
-
Wait listing of award itineraries is not
permitted.
-
Conditions
of carriage for Asiana Award Tickets are subject to Asiana Airlines’
filed conditions of carriage, applicable laws and such other
conditions as Asiana Airlines may advise in writing from time
to time.
-
Mileage may be redeemed for Travel Class
to Business Class, or Business Class to First Class upgrade
awards. Two class upgrade awards are not allowed.
-
Upgrade award validity is subject to the
rules and validity of the underlying purchased fare.
-
Asiana Club miles may not be used for upgrade
awards on program airline partners, or on non-Asiana operated
flight segments, unless specifically authorized.
-
Upgrades are not permitted
from international group fares, Asiana specially designated
tickets or from fares discounted by more than 50% from published
tariff.
Effective Feb 1, 2005, due to fare structure changes, upgrades
are not permitted on North or South American origin H, Q, V,
W or L fares.

Asiana Club mileage accrual eligibility for
upgrade award tickets will be based on the class of travel paid,
not the class of travel seated.
-
Members must have sufficient miles in their
account to reserve upgrade award seats. In the event of a shortage
of miles, however, members may request at check-in that their
miles for that segment be applied towards meeting the upgrade
mileage requirements for that flight.
-
Upgrade
awards cannot be used with free tickets or other promotional
upgrade offers.
Certain transactions regarding changes, redemptions
and redeposits are subject to service charges. At Asiana, we give
you the option of paying for these fees with either cash or miles.
